Back in Business! The New Room is Open!
It's baaaaack! The music room is in a new location, but back in business! Now located in the old science lab, the room features more floor space than before thanks to a new ventilation system, a large storage room, and no corners cut by windows or closets. There is a ton of space! We're getting all the instruments back now, and Dr. Anderson's class even helped set them up for the rest of the school.
Pictures below show how the students discovered the space for the first time. Rather than walk around and listen to what everything is, students worked together in groups to hunt down QR codes around the room. When they scanned the code, the iPads popped up a few sentences about what is important about that part of the room. Students met together at the end of class to share what they found, and they seem to know everything about the room now!
Over the next few weeks, more improvements will be made to the room, such as increasing the wifi strength, getting a new interactive white board, and unpacking more boxes of instruments and props.
It was very exciting to get back into the music room last week!
